CLINICAL RESEARCH PHYSICIAN / PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

 

Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Research Physician / Principal Investigator, you will use your medical expertise to assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all study participants as well as the proper conduct of clinical trials.

Your primary duties will involve administering physical exams, reviewing all study participant data (including medical history, lab work, X-rays, ECG’s, adverse events, protocol compliance throughout all phases of the study process). You will also interact with internal operations team and sponsor companies/CROs to address safety and protocol concerns.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our clinical research team. Candidates will handle multiple priorities, have excellent organizational skills, and possess the ability to problem solve to a successful outcome.

To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be U.S. Board Certified, preferably Internal Medicine, Endocrinology or Family Medicine.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Washington or able to obtain a Washington State license.
  • Must hold an unencumbered DEA license.

Nurse Practitioner / Clinical Research Coordinator

Rainier Clinical Research Center was founded in 1991 and since that time, they have managed more than 600 Phase I-IV clinical trials involving thousands of patients. As Nurse Practitioner / Clinical Research Coordinator, you will utilize your experience and skills to successfully perform the following:

Study Start-Up

  • Liaise with internal and external study team members including sponsors (biopharmaceutical and medical device companies, regulatory, institutional review boards, participant recruitment, regulatory, etc.)
  • Attend investigator meetings (may require travel)
  • Work with recruitment team to develop a recruiting strategy
  • Develop source documents according to SOPs
  • Train on protocol/study, study specific software and procedures, and documentation
  • Develop proficiency on study-specific procedures
  • Train team members

Study Conduct

  • Ensure participant safety at all times
  • Ensure adherence to protocol (inclusion/exclusion criteria, participant consent, medication management, procedures, documentation, participant compliance, etc.)
  • Conduct appropriate clinical procedures (physicals, IV placement/phlebotomy, insulation titration, etc.)
  • Collect, input and submit study-related data (typically involving study-specific software)
  • Assess and manage adverse events
  • Interpret laboratory results, EKGs and other safety assessments
  • Work with client CRA/Monitor to resolve queries and corrections
  • Function as a liaison between study participant, RCRC, Investigator, and sponsor
  • Regularly communicate study progress to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure GCP guidelines are followed
  • Work closely with Investigators to ensure participant safety and compliance
  • Proficient with the use of study supplied equipment
  • Oversee optimum efficiency of study conduct
  • Perform duties as principal or sub-investigator.

Study Completion

  • Ensure that all data is submitted to the sponsor
  • Work with CRA/Monitor to resolve outstanding issues

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Graduate of an Accredited Advanced Nursing Program and have a current RN License for the State of Washington
  • Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Washington (APRN)
  • Family Medicine or Internal Medicine experience
  • Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Clinical research experience (preferred)

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills—especially with study participants
  • Clinical skills including physicals, IV placement/phlebotomy, insulation titration, EKGs, lab result interpretation, etc.)

Finance Manager

Rainier Clinical Research Center (RCRC) was founded in 1991. Since that time, we have participated in more than 600 Phase I-IV clinical trials involving thousands of patients. The Finance and Administration Manager manages the accounting, and financial planning and analysis activities of RCRC. S/he ensures compliance with and proper execution of all accounting policies and SOP’s and supports management in the administration, planning, and execution of company policies, goals, and objectives by performing responsibilities personally or through subordinate team members. This position is ideal for an enterprising professional seeking to grow, learn and advance in his/her career as the most senior financial person in our 30-employee growing company.

Responsibilities:

General Direct Responsibilities

  • Manages cash
  • Provide appropriate decision making support information to management
  • Manages departmental KPI’s, identifies financial trends, provides analytical support for operational decisions, identifies labor optimization opportunities
  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations
  • Reviews and advises other management regarding study profitability
  • Procures assets and materials cost-effectively
  • Manages successful banking relationships
  • Maintains corporate documents, contracts and legal matters
  • Develops annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Maintains accurate 12-month rolling financial and labor forecast

  • Complies with relevant reporting requirements
  • Calculate and prepare tax payments
  • Maintains complete filing system to support financial records
  • Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, computer printouts
  • Allocates and posts financial transaction details to subsidiary books
  • Transfers data to general ledger
  • Reconciles and balances all accounts
  • Track and maintain inventory records and maintains control systems

Supervises Budgets & Regulatory Supervisor

  • Oversees budgets & contracts function and service pricing
  • Manages effective vendor relationships, contract terms and negotiates contracts
  • Manages Regulatory Analyst
  • Maintains regulatory and study documentation
  • Communicates and updates ClinOps staff with regulatory-related documentation
  • Archives study documents

Supervises Receptionist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent; MBA Preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in management or supervisory role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and financial software
  • Experience closing books on an accrual basis of accounting
  • Proven high level skills in finance and accounting
  • Ability to adhere to established timelines, processes and procedures

REGISTERED DIETITIAN/ CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR

Rainier Clinical Research Center (Renton, WA) has a Full-Time job opening for an RD/CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR for a large multi-specialty research center specializing in metabolic disorders. We conduct research studies of investigational medications and devices for pharmaceutical and biotech companies with an emphasis in diabetes, lipids, and obesity.

The Clinical Research Coordinator conducts studies under the direct supervision of board-certified physicians with extensive research experience.

Responsibilities:

Performing study related procedures including but not limited to:

-Administering Informed Consent Forms to study participants
-Taking EKG’s and vital signs
-Completing all study-related documents in a timely manner
-Ensure Patient Compliance to Study Protocol
-Ensure that GCP and FDA guidelines are followed
-Schedule and coordinate all participant visits and procedures with other departments as required by study protocol
-Work with sponsoring pharmaceutical or biotech company to ensure that all required
duties are completed according to sponsor guidelines
-Keep principal investigator informed of study participant progress and changes to protocol or study procedures
-Dispense and account for investigational drug administered during the study
– Provide nutritional counseling to study participants

Participant Recruitment Coordinator

The Patient Recruitment Coordinator contacts potential clinical trial participants, interviews them to see if they are eligible for research, and coordinates the recruitment for multiple projects (up to 40 a year). S/he ensures Rainier Clinical Research Center meets all of its required patient contract. This position is ideal for a sociable professional seeking a fast paced, challenging career and is interested in health care.

Reports to: Recruitment and Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Recruits participants for clinical research studies
  • Interviews prospective candidates explaining side effects, benefits, qualifications and patient stipend for time and travel
  • Contact between 20-50 people a day
  • Schedule participants for clinical trials
  • Prepares screening questionnaires that outline patient eligibility
  • Manages the Clinical Trial Management Software
  • Meets and goes beyond study contract goals
  • Markets and manages clinical trials on social media
  • Blogs regularly about our company through company sponsored social media accounts
  • Presents healthcare related information at community functions and health fairs.

Requirements Education & Experience

  • Bachelors or some college
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Facebook, Twitter, and InstaGram
