A New Insulin Management System Study for People Diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, and Currently Using Insulin.

We are currently seeking volunteers who are diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes and currently treating with insulin. Pump-users cannot participate. This study is testing an investigational Insulin Pen Device and Blood Glucose Meter System. The system may assist with diabetes treatment decisions and self-management behaviors by tracking insulin use, blood glucose values, and behavior reminders. All participants will switch to using the investigational system. All participants will have their insulin provided for them during the study. Type 2 Diabetes participants on basal-only therapy (Long-Acting Insulin) will be provided with Basaglar insulin. (Use of any other oral diabetes medications by Type 2 DM participants will continue.) Participants on basal/bolus therapy (Long-Acting and Rapid-Acting Insulin) will be provided with Basaglar and Humalog. Participants will need to check their blood sugar levels at least 3 times a day.
